The series is known for its fighting but its intense crime drama narrative and its characters are what really pull me into this series. Of course Yakuza Kiwami isnРІР‚в„ўt just about pounding people into the pavement as the Dragon of Dojima, Kazama Kiryu. One of my biggest concerns is with the way that Kiwami handles as the original was rather stiff and unyielding once attacks were started. It doesnРІР‚в„ўt take long so see the graphical improvements with the character models and the world itself but that is only a fraction of the whole package. Kiwami, which means extreme, definitely earns its name but the real question is how it stands up after 14 years. This isnРІР‚в„ўt just any console port though as Yakuza has been remastered from the ground up in its most РІР‚СљExtremeРІР‚Сњ version yet. For one reason or another I never completed it but IРІР‚в„ўve been given a second chance to see the story to the end with the release of Yakuza Kiwami for PC.

Back in 2005, I gave the original Yakuza for PS2 a try and for the most part enjoyed it for a while. Let them play.Yakuza as a series has always held a spot of curiosity for me as I enjoy mob/mafia related media in their various forms. These three games underpin the rest of the list and itРІР‚в„ўs a shame theyРІР‚в„ўll be in attendance. It was a lot of laughter and tears and baseball games. Unless youРІР‚в„ўre some kind of monster, you canРІР‚в„ўt explore most of the rest of the Yakuza games without all of that storyline. Of course, they all hold importance because they cannot be ignored. Easily one of the best stories in the series. Kiryu actually fights a tiger with his fists.

Meanwhile, you see the real Mad Dog appear. Kiryu has to put her feelings aside and fight her brother. A remake of the first Yakuza, arguably not as good as its prequel but still with a great key story. This is Ryu Ga Gotoku studio in their prime, I think. Both sad that I finished the game and happy that I discovered the Yakuza. I remember watching the ending in this strange fog. And real estate to manage РІР‚вЂњ that is, if you havenРІР‚в„ўt hired a chicken to do it for you. You experience bromance, betrayal and baka mitai. The two opposites eventually attract, if you can call it that. It tells the origin story of heartbroken Kazuma Kiryu and Mad Dog Goro Majima as they sink deep into the criminal hands of РІР‚в„ў80s Japan. So many people ask: РІР‚СљWhere is the perfect entry point for a Yakuza franchise?РІР‚Сњ. Thing is, the stuff theyРІР‚в„ўre getting rid of is exceptional. Those are Yakuza 3, 4, 5, 6, and Like A Dragon, all of which are left on the Game Pass for now. And I suppose thereРІР‚в„ўs comfort in having the rest of the Yakuza franchise stick around. Just like that, the three explosions cleared. But as we move through 2022, Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 1 & 2 will no longer be available to Game Pass owners. Games like Mortal Kombat 11, Firewatch, and The Gunk We coming to Xbox Game Pass before the end of the year.
